Passive Voice



1.      Simple Present Tense
S + to be (is/am/are) + V3
a)      The homework is done by her today.
b)       The floor is swept by the servant.
c)       My fried noodle is eaten up by my brother.
d)     The drama is played by Super Junior.
e)      The dishes aren’t washed by me.

2.      Present Continous Tense
S + to be(is/are) + being + V3
a)      English is being studied by the students.
b)       The text is being translated by translator.
c)      The drama is being played in the cinema.
d)     Muhammadiyah song is being sung by the students.
e)      The badroom is being cleaned by her now.

3.      Present Perfect Tense
 S + has/have + been + V3
a)      The tests have been finished by us.
b)      The writing has been corrected by the lecturer.
c)      The novel ‘Harry Potter’ has been read by Ari.
d)     The thief has been arrested by the police.
e)      The bad news has been heard by us.

4.      Present Perfect Continous Tense
S + has/have been + being + V3
a)      The letters have been being delivered by the postmen since 8 o’clock this morning.
b)      The picture has been being drawn by the painter for  an hour.
c)      The books have been being read by bookworm all day long.
d)      The village has been being isolated for five years.
e)      The movie has been being wacthed by us for 30 minutes.

5.      Past Tense
S+ to be (was/were) + v3
a)      She was born in Makasar.
b)      The buildings were built in 1849.
c)      The children were sent to participate in the Youth Festival by our school yesterday.
d)     The window and the door were locked by mother last night.
e)      The car was stolen this morning.

6.      Past Continuous Tense
S + to be (was/were) + being + V3
a)      Her birthday party was being enjoyed by all his friends.
b)      The television was being repaired by my father.
c)      The dinner was being prepared by my mother and I.
d)     The classes were being mopped by the office boy.
e)      The grass was being cut by the worker.

7.      Past Perfect Tense
S + had + been + V3
a)      The students had been taught by the lecturers.
b)      The clothes had been ironed before I went home.
c)      After the door had been locked, we went to campus.
d)     The lessons had been explained by the lecturers.
e)      Borobudur Temple had been visited by all people in the world.

8.      Past Perfect Continuous Tense
S + have / has +been + being + V3
a)      When I went home, the computer had been being played by my brother for an hour.
b)      The movie had been being played when I come to the cinema.
c)      Before he followed the competition, the lessons had been being studied for a month.
d)     When I came there, the house had been being lived by my friends for three months.
e)      The clothes had been being dried by her.

9.      Future Tense
S + will / shall + be + V3
a)      A long vacation will be spent by us in the end of the year.
b)      The paragraphs will be written by me next  Sunday.
c)      The zoo will be opened by the government tomorrow morning.
d)     The opening ceremony will be held by office next week.
e)      The car will be washed by my father tomorrow.

10.  Future Continuous Tense
S + will / shall + be + being V3
a)      The bridge will be being painted by the man next week at this moment.
b)      My homework will be being finished by me tomorrow at this time.
c)       Tomorrow at 10 o’clock the plane will be being boarded to Japan by our friends.
d)     The performance will be being performed by us at this time next week.
e)      The clothes will be being ironed by me tonight.

11.  Future Perfect Tense
S + will / shall + have + been + V3
a)      His study will have been finished by her in December.
b)      Her second child will have been born by my aunt by the end of this year.
c)      The dinner will have been cooked by my mother when my father comes toninght.
d)     The work will have been finished by them by the end of this month.
e)      If you come tomorrow night, the drawing will have been completed by him.

12.  Future Perfect Continuous Tense
S+ shall / will + have + been + being + V3
a)      Mathematics will have been being taught by my mother for three years by next year.
b)      The magazine will have been being read by Epin for an hour by eight o’clock tonight.
c)      Tomorrow, a restaurant will have been being built by my uncle for 3 days.
d)     When you arrive tonight, football will have been being played by Indonesian team for 2 hours.
e)      Campus will have been being renovated by the government for a year.

13.  Future Past Tense
S + should / would + be + V3
a)      I would be visited by him, but unfortunately he fell sick.
b)      The football match should be watched last night, but the electricity was off.
c)      The television would be sold two weeks before.
d)     The film would be launched by them last night.
e)      The food would be eaten by my brother an hour ago.

14.  Future Past Continuous Tense
S + should / would + be + being + V3
a)      The contract should be being signed by Fathin Sidqia at 9.00 this morning.
b)      The assigment should be being finished by them at 10.00 tonight.
c)      What the lecturer said would be being understood by the students yesterday.
d)     The clothes would be being taken by me two days ago.
e)      The long holiday would be being spent by us a month ago.

15.  Future Past Perfect Tense
S + should / would + have + been + V3
a)      My book should have been brought by my friend last week.
b)      The books should have been returned by the students yesterday.
c)      The picture would have been drawn by the painter last week.
d)     The building would have been built by the goverment last year.
e)      The fee should have been paid by him two days ago.

16.  Future Past Perfect Continuous Tense
S + should / would + have + been + being + V3
a)      The houses would have been being sold by contractor.
b)      The bad condition of the bridge should have been being thought by the government.
c)      The detriment of the way should have been being repaired by the government.
d)     The best student would have been being chosen by the teachers.
e)      The dress would have been being sewwed by the tailor.
