16 TENSES



SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
1.      I am a student from English Education Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta.
2.      He is often late to go to campus.
3.      She does not like playing football or basketball.
4.      Is it yours ?.
5.      They always do their tasks together in the library.
6.      You never make me happy anytime and anywhere.
7.      Every Sunday, my bedroom is cleaned.
8.      They are in the garden but my mother and I cook in the kitchen.
9.      Are you sure about the truth of this story ?.
10.  Sometimes, we aren’t happy in the end of the months because we have limited money.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
1.      Mr. Abdillah is still walking to the class.
2.      The children are drawing the view of mountain at the moment.
3.      Is John playing football or volley ball in the field ?.
4.      They are not swimming in the swimming pool now.
5.      I’m studying English structure in the class now.
6.      Listen ! There is a baby who is crying.
7.      Are we writing all of the lectures in a book ?.
8.      The luggage is being brought from house to the airport.
9.      She is washing her clothes and jackets.
10.  My father is driving so he can’t take the handphone.
PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
1.      My father has taught in Senior High School for  more than 20 years.
2.      The trees outside the classroom have been already cut down.
3.      Has he read the proposal of this event ?.
4.      I have never gone to Raja Ampat, Papua so far.
5.      Have you ever listened to Westlife’s music ?.
6.      She has never eaten the meat of pig since she has been a muslim.
7.      These days, many organisations have hold recruitment for a new students.
8.      If you have finished your test, you can go out from the class.
9.      My parents have picked me up just now.
10.  My brother hasn’t watched the football matches for a week.
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
1.      We have been doing the test for 2 hours.
2.      My mother has been teaching that class since 7 o’clock this morning.
3.      It has been raining all day long.
4.      Have they been playing basketball for 3 hours ?.
5.      The postman have been delivering letters since 8 o’clock this morning.
6.      The workers have been building the school all month long.
7.      My father has been repairing the door for thirty minutes.
8.      Has the boy been writing the letter for twenty minutes ?.
9.      Have you been listening to the radio since 9 o’clock this morning ?.
10.  I have been washing my clothes since 11 o’clock this morning.

PAST TENSE
1.      The boy was late this morning.
2.      The sweets were divided equally among the children last night.
3.      We didn’t understand what they said.
4.      The girls wished to go shopping in Solo Square yesterday because there were many products on the sale.
5.      I was very busy two weeks ago.
6.      A week ago, the lecturer didn’t tell us about the exam.

10.  The children didn’t keep silent when the teachers had a meeting.

PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE
1.      The lecturer was teaching as we were writing.
2.      The students were doing their tsest when the headmaster entered the room.
3.      When I passed Epin’s boarding house, she was sweeping the floor.
4.      Were you playing the piano while your brother was studying ?
5.      Was she dancing with the boy whom I met in the canteen ?

PAST PERFECT TENSE

FUTURE PERFECT TENSE

5.      The end of the life will not have ended in the end of this year.
